Okay fellas, help me understand this. I've read some threads about TRAC and the yellow wire mod to pre 2011 non-ATRAC 4x4's and that is self explanatory.

I can find no reference in my 2011 owners guide to TRAC. I own a non-ATRAC 4x4. The vehicle has ALSD which functions only in 2WD mode according to the manual and that seems confirmed when I put the truck into 4H from 2H with the ALSD on while in 2WD the ALSD light goes out.

Does my truck have TRAC??:confused: Since it does not use the ALSD in 4H I am wondering if I do not have TRAC and whether it has been deleted or superceded by something new for 2011.

    Any information will help.

Yeah TRAC is part of the vehicle stability control (VSC) system.

ALSD is TRAC without engine regulation in H2. In H4, it is called TRAC but is the same as ALSD but on all 4 wheels. Here is the Toyota flow chart for using TRAC, AUTO LSD (ALSD) and VSC OFF modes:
