so after owning my Tacoma for 2 years and listening to my 3 kids complain about my truck being to small for all of use i have decided to trade it in:(
i have a deal worked up on a 2010 tundra double cab limited trd off road, it has the same miles as my truck (just over 30,000). it does not have all the extras my truck has but close and should make the kids happier. according to a friend that owns one he is getting the same mileage as i am so i hope it will not hit the check book to bad.
the dealer is paying my truck off (i owe 27,500) and i am buying theirs for $33,500.00. from my research of the local market this is a pretty good deal.
i will post some pictures of the truck once i get it, and if you all do not mind i will sick around here anyway;)

i have learned a lot on this site so i thought i would say thank you to all of you

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
TOO SMALL  tell your kids to ride in my truck. The Tundras are pretty bad ass if I ever buy full size that's what I'll be getting.

I'm doing the opposite of this right now.

Just sold my 2008 double cab tundra and I'm picking up a 2011 tacoma reggie =)

Enjoy the tundra, it's a great truck!

not sure what to make of the gas mileage, my Tacoma is only getting 17-18 on the freeway, i have driven my buddies and when i took it, it got about that. his is stock so this one may be worse. either way i will deal with it.

my kids are young 10, 8 and 6 but i am 6'4" so i have to have the seat all the way back so even my 6 year old is cramped

I've been in hawaii the whole time I've owned my Tundra. After three years my overall average MPG has been 13.5mpg, with 305/55R20 street tires, no lift, all else stock..

Buy a Yaris, wait a little bit, and the kids will be begging you to buy a Tacoma.

Or I'd tell them they can ride economy class (Tacoma) for free, but upgrading to 1st class (Tundra) will cost them.
