I got there about 11:20 so I hope I didn't miss anyone but I didn't see any tacomas on the way out there.
There was one lowrider first gen at the show, I'll have to post a pic.

Did see a sweet speed way blue access cab headed out that way on my way back. Looked like he had sockmonkey decals but I couldn't be sure.

Hope you get to feeling better Josh. Maybe we can do something next weekend

the SWB AC might have been my wife and I. Just got back home, but cars were still showing up when I left. Nice weather, and a good turnout.

I've seen this green machine parked at my neighbor's house a few times. I'm not really in to the lowrider scene, but the owner has put a lot of work into it. Wish I had that much money to do the mods I would like to on mine.

What's up! Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm a proud new owner of an Off-Road Tacoma and love it. I'm in the process of upgrading my stereo and have a few more ideas in the near future. I'm sure I've seen some of you around town, but wanted to introduce myself on here.

Alta mere window tinting on Washington, just south of Douglas. Best tint shop in town (imo) and one of the oldest. Reasonable prices and lifetime warranty...will tint as dark or as light as you want and use 3m films

    You're welcome...

That's the only shop I'd go to. I believe they do a lot of work for area dealerships that don't tint in house. Best of luck to ya

Oh and welcome, you too lawman!

Any idea if they honor their warranty even if it's darker than legal?

Yes, they do...they cover workmanship and materials. Your problem if you get a ticket for being too dark.

Just looked at my receipt and it reads...

As per customer request match d/p to rear 20%
    Kansas legal limit 35%

All materials have manufacturer warranty and installation is guaranteed for the life of the vehicle. All sales are final. All repair work is by appointment only. Blah blah blah

So yes, they cover pretty much everything but your ass getting a ticket.

I've had my windows tinted at 20% for close to 2 years and never had a problem...

You can check out my tint in person if you want...

Thanks for the quick reply. What did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?

    $80.00 materials
    $5.00 shop charge
    $5.36 sales tax

    $90.36 total

Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for and I am sure that this shop will stay open in the future. What good is a warranty from a fly-by-night operation that won't be there when you need them?

That sounds perfect. I had budgeted $150, looks like I'll have a few bucks left over for a different mod. Thanks again!

just so we're clear...that price was for the front 2 widows, I had them match the factory tint in my access cab. They quoted be like $75 to do the back and access doors. You'd still come in around budget if you went all the way around.

I gotta say though, looks great with 20% fronts and factory backs. Go back a few pages in this thread to see my truck

They are quick too, showed up 5 minutes prior to appointment walked two blocks to oldtown, had lunch and was back in my truck about an hour later. Mind you, it was January, probably a little busier in summer months.
