2009 Backup Camera On A 2005

My buddy has been doing a stereo upgrade on his 2005 D/C from stock he has installed a Pioneer AVIC Z2 head unit and a Pioneer back up camera mounted in a 2009 tailgate handle. Next mod he will be installing the dash bezel with the auxiliary plugs and iPOD plug from a 2009 model in his 2005.

 

Did he pay retail for the tailgate handle or work out some other deal? I have priced tho things and there OUTRAGEOUS for just the handle alone. What blows my mind is the camera handle is standard on all model line taco's, whether it has the actual rear view display or not.

 

He is an outside installer for a local accessories vendor we use that does our aftermarket installs so he got the handle for cost plus 10% I think it was around $60 plus tax.

 

Where can i get one do you have a part number?
