i just google imaged "broken f150" and "broken tacoma"...... the f150 results were a ton of pictures of various parts that had failed. even spark plugs. in the tacoma search results, the only pictures of broken stuff were pictures from wrecks........still biased?

 

Many people in my family own F150s and none of which have had a slick of problems (knock on wood)

 

that one makes me laugh every time someone posts it

The problem with the rings/pinions breaking/binding causing it to fail?

 

the e-locker with the 8" ring gear is slightly weaker (more prone to breaking) that the LSD with the 8.4" ring gear

 

I know what the problem is but I dont know what the years had this problem

 

that's what i was aware of. i didn't know there was a binding issue though

 

all do... there have been plenty of failures across the board

 

I'm pretty sure there is no binding issue, the only binding issues i'm aware of is when you lift these trucks (4x4) past 2" or so (binding in the CV joint)
