after talking with a few guy's and checking out their pics i have begun to realize that if i don't go big now i will regret it. i was originally thing 285-70-17's now i'm thinking of getting a 315-75-16. i have a procomp complete 3 inch lift being installed next week and this is one of the last things i need to nail down. the wheel choices are the trd black simulock wheels or i could go with the walker evens and get it machined to spec to make sure i get the proper back spacing and such. i also plan on installing the light racing uca's i'm not sure if this is going to effect anything or not now while i don't mind trimming and melting i really don't want to have to chop the cab mount. please any advice would help alot.

3 inch lift with 35 inch tires requires a lot of trimming. on alot of parts.

Isnt that a 35" or close to it? Your def gonna have to do the cab mount chop. Check over on ttora they have a hole thread on fitting 35"s. They say its work but worth it. But you gotta consider gears... cause 33"s on a 4cyl might be on... but 35"s and they will hate you. n0rth has a 4cyl access cab on 35"s but geared. A guy name jrod89 (iirc) has 35"s on a 4cyl no gears. You should talk to them and see what they say. I think you should stick with 33"s. And walker evans aint cheap. Depends what kinda money you want to drop. And the front bumper will have to be cut up to fit the tires here is the link to ttora

is a 315-75-16 a 35 inch tire? i'm also considering putting on an arb bull bar. i would assume that would open up some more room up front, but from what i have been hearing the mud flaps and possibly the fender flares will need to come off as well.

    same shit as everyone else
Your hardly going to fit a 32.4 inch tire without chopping the cab mount better yet that 34 your talking about. To run the 34 your going to need to get an after market bumper and hack ALOT! Its not as bad as you'd think though. I'd stick with the 285 plan, once you go beyond that your going to have to start thinking about gearing...

yeah a 315 is practically a 35, 34.6 actually. You will have to get the body cab mount chop or avoid making turns.

i'm also operating under the assumption that this lift will probably provide more than 3 inches of lift. some guy's have reported 4 inches settled! apparently the spring rates are the same that are used for the double cab v6 models so i'm looking at a 700 pound spring rate on my regular cab and the way it sits now it has no armor and i have lightened the exhaust probably by 20 pounds or more and removed the sway bar. i remembered a post about a 886 coil from ome and i thought they said those are like 6 or 650 pounds.

    Isn't a 4 " lift gonna destroy your cv's ?

If you do more that 3" up front you risk fucking up your cv's... did you see how the guys are clearancing for 35"s on the link I posted? Should answer alot of your questions. But I'm personally concerned with how my v6 will turn 35"s without gears... wich Is why im sticking with 33"s until I have money to regear.

would an arb bumper work for the bumper choice or should i go with another brand? possibly something that would provide more clearance up front? check out the user jrod1989 he is the guy running this size with a stock bumper and fender flares on! he said he didn't hack the cab mount i thought this was possible. he is running a 3 inch revtech spacer kit up front and es9000 shocks out back and v6 shocks up front and a toyotec 2inch adda leaf in the back. thats it

i have a diff drop and its def going in when they do everything else. it's supposed to be a 3 inch lift i just heard some guys that have dcabs have gotten alot more. i thought that using the same spring rates my truck could quite possibly get more than 3 inches of lift, but i really don't know either way.
