I think the access cab LOOKs better. But I chose the double cab as the extra lockable interior room is more important to me than the extra foot of bed space. but I do think the access cab has a better look.

Once I realized the length of the trucks were the same and I could get my bike behind it and my wifes Rav in the garage I decided to look for a double cab. FUNCTION over FORM everytime

I can put most things in the back seat area which stays folded down. No need to open the undercover for much until Springtime when I will need to carry yard waste and broken outdoor furniture to the dump. For everyday use the back seat area is well worth the fugly.

Oh HELL no...Could not get my bike in the garage with an extra 12" and definitely have a harder time parking, that extra foot seems like three on these trucks. My brother had an 09 long bed double cab....Nice looking but tooooo loooong...

As far as looks .... AC over DC .... I would even go back to the extended cab without the back doors ..... although I had an '06 regular cab.

The AC for storage behind, out of the weather ....... it is my daily driver and bought for me (and my wife ... wink) .... have a car for more than two people.

access cab looks 40 trillion times better. as a matter of fact the double cab is ugly. reminds me of those ford explorers with the bed on them.

if you need a double cab for whatever reason, get a ford or one of the big 3.

I would not go that far...LOL nor would I buy a Ford....I am happy with the Double cab. I drive my vehicles from the INSIDE out.

MY NEEDS FIRST THEN.....how it looks. We have a car and and a RAV but ehn I want to buy something larger than a shopping bag I prefer opening the back door than the Undercover..THAT'S for trash and huge dirty stuff.

Yeah no offense to my friends, but i dont think about them when buying a truck. Access cab looks sportier, thats what i like, thats what i got. they can tough it out.

Buying a DC just so you can haul your friends around more comfortably is assinine.

You are already spending THAT much money on the truck, you might as well go the extra 900 and get exactly what you want...

All depends on the individual. For me, married, 2 kids and a big ass dog, and love the outdoors, a DC LB is the only way to roll. Love the space in the back for equipment and my kids have their own door.

Have you tried to sit in the back of an access cab? It is impossible unless you are a circus midget. Get the double cab, it is more practical
