OK so we are going with June 25th for our next meet and cruise. We will meet at Hooters on airport at 11:00. We'll do it an hour earlier so we can cruise to the beach or if someone finds a good trail we'll have that option too. We'll go ahead and start a count and hopefully get more people since we have 5 weeks to go.

Howdy, Mobile folks! Sooooo, ahhhhh, what's your state & area like? Weather during the summer, people, food, fun, etc? Went to Space Camp in Huntsville as a kid, but haven't been back since and look to be spending about 3 months or so there very soon.

Hey guys we are leaving for your neck of the woods this Friday (from SW MO) and driving down to stay overnight around Jackson MS and then to Dauphin Is Saturday morning. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to stay in Jackson area coming in from west on I20 and then picking up 49 south.? I was looking at Richland MS (Best Western) just south of Jackson on 49. Also, last year we came down thru Hattiesburg into Mobile, but Gooogle Maps had us going straight south outta Hattiesburg almost down to Gulfport and then straight east and missing Mobile to the south.? Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Weather during the summer... it has been high 90's to 100 for a week or 2 straight, if that tells you anything... And Huntsville is way north of Mobile... And what I do for fun.. Fishing, fishing, and more fishing

Cool, thanks! (I re-read my post, and I'll be around Mobile, NOT Huntsville)
There good bars, music? Is that 90 or 100 degrees humid? Rain a lot?

When we stay in the Jackson area we usually stay in a Hilton in Madison but that would be out of your way. I haven't stayed at the Best Western in Richland in about 2 years. It was pretty nice and is just about the only hotel in Richland from what I remember.

As for coming from Hattiesburg, pick up 98 from 49. Take 98 to highway 63. From 63 take 614 in to Mobile. This will take right by the airport and puts you about 30-45 minutes from the island.

I'm not a certified thread jacker, so I apologize in advance, however I felt the urge to ask you guys this question. How much do you hate this video and the guy that says "ya'll see the leprechaun say yeah!"

It's unfortunate that when I hear Mobile, AL I instantly think of this..

Haha I think it's funny, but that is a totally different part of town. That's what you would call "crackville". It does put a bad image in peoples head when they think of Mobile, AL. Mobile is actually not like that... I'm not saying I've never seen a leprechaun tho... lol jk
