    Howdy ya'll, just bought a 99 v6 extra cap trd/sr5 tacoma yesterday, has its issues,

    (Engine light - from misfire)
    worn tires
    no turn signals/hazards
    front bumper plastic mounting broke
    center console mounting is bent
    driver door handle
    missing front badge
    never been cleaned :(


    think i paid OK, talked him down from his silly number.

    He gave me some story about everything yada yada, but truth be told i think its an auction truck. Engine is strong, shocks are tight, so needs some love, some under hood work but nothing big.

    As i go through and fix everything ill prob ask plenty of questions so expect to see me around :D

    careful cause the truck needs lots of lovin right now! just replaced turn signal relay and repairing driver side marker as well. Bout to change oil and flush coolant.

    Tomorrow i get it new tires (stock), and all three belts changed. In the near future door handle, third member seal, front dif seal, and i think shocks :(

    dash is also held on by self tapping screws so gotta fix that. its just grand :D

    Welcome! i'm in the same boat. Just bought a Tacoma with "issues" but I enjoy the challenge! I noticed you have a couple of Bugs. I have owned Bugs all my life, and I used to have a 66 too. Never converted it to 12V and that thing was a pain to drive at night! Only Bug I have now is a 71 Super B.
