I've always like Toyota trucks since I was a kid. Before I could even afford to buy a truck, I knew it was going to be a Toyota.

I went to university and became butt ass broke. I ended up being an intern with the Geological Survey of Canada in Vancouver, which just so happens to be one of the most expensive place in Canada to live. So, no money but in a place where there are lots of nice imports:(

Eventually, after moving to Pennsylvania I got a decent job and bought myself my first truck, a black 2000 Tacoma access cab TRD. It was sweet, for the time I had it. My brother was getting married...this is 6 months after I get the truck, and my truck gets stolen from the hotel parking lot the night/morning of the wedding:eek: I'm not sure if it was the liquor from the night before or just being upset, but I ran back up to my room and lost my breakfast. Standing in the wedding and have pictures was fun:rolleyes:

Years go by I end up working in the oil field, but just getting started I cant quite afford a Tacoma, but got a Frontier instead. After making some good money I end up getting my wife a 2007 white Tacoma access cab TRD thinking that I could get her to drive my Nissan and I could use the Taco. That was a no go, she wouldn't give it up.

Last week I finally pay off my Frontier and trade it in for a 2011 white Tacoma crew cab TRD:):):) I had to out do her, so I got some things done to it:
    3" Revteck lift
    American Racing ATX Series wheels
    33" Goodyear Wrangler Duratrax tires
    K&N intake
    Running boards
    Roof rack
    Side Window Visors
    Folding hard tonneau cover
    Bongiovi Acoustics DPS
    All season mats

Better pics to come along with more upgrades and maybe some grill mods

    thanks for the welcomes!

gotta love the Tacoma. I'll see if I can get some decent photos on here.

I have installed my 2way radio and 3watt cell phone booster since getting it.

First thing I have planned, that I can most likely get away with by the wifey, is a roof basket. I originally wanted a ski rack, but think it's a good idea to have a full sized spare wheel. Since my bed is always full when I travel I cant store it there. I like the basket by kasey200 and will likely see if I can get him to make me one down the road.

I would love to eventually have an ALLPRO bumper or the custom one I see on here that looks similar.

Great looking truck. Sorry to hear about your old 1st gen. I'm sure I would have a similar gut reaction if someone stole my favorite possession/sole form of transportation.

man, where's the rest of that photo in you signature! lol

I'm going to add some photos of her truck to my Tacoma photos, unfortunately I will never get the two trucks together because they are 5000kms apart. I wouldn't want her to see all the things I'm doing to mine anyway, she might get jealous:)

We live together in Nova Scotia (east coast of Canada) but I work in the oil and gas industry, and have been working in western Canada for the last 7 years.

I store my equipment and truck in Calgary, Alberta and fly back and forth to work. My typical routine is fly from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Calgary, Alberta, pick up my truck at the airport, grab my gear, go meet with which ever oil company, then drive to an oil rig to live at until the well is complete. Then I drive back to Calgary again, store my stuff and fly back. No schedule, just pick up and go pretty much and try to get as much time off as possible.
