    Ah that's great!

I'm no tire expert but the KM2 are pretty freakin nice, functionality wise. And no they don't look half bad either.

I got a good deal on mine so that made my decision for me.

if you like splashing in puddles, and you're 2wd, i'd look into MTs. i'm under the impression that finks truck does so well as a 2wd because he's got the tires to back him up. of course it's leight weight, and he knows how to drive, but thosw two paired with an AT and i think he'd be stuck a lot more often.

Think I'm going with 285/75/16 Treadwright Warden A/T for my next set of tires. Lot of FJ guys have them and like 'em, and the price is perfect since I'll be having to replace my tires right around the time I move to Tallahassee.

I think Im going with the km2s and gonna bedline my stockers. The bedliner looks really growing on me. And I'm not concerned with scratches and just shit, but the bedliner would make it look nice :D and i'll touch it up as I fuck it up!

Also should I go 285/75/16 or stick with 265/75/16

nice, i'm getting the guard dogs. they're so cheap that if i slice one up wheeling (likely), it's relatively cheap to replace them compared to a standard tire

Seen you FLOOR it on EVERYTHING and hope you make it up?
Or when you went flying into that clay puddle and just sank like a rock?
Cause I'd call that pretty fuckin stuck.

I have the video still if you need a reminder.

I'm not a fan of cheaply made shit, personally. The Coopers are just a complete rip off of the Toyo M/T tread wise but not as nice of a compound.

Hankook AT's look like shit IMO, the M/T's are fine though.

I just don't understand, if you can get a mud tire that rides nice on the road and will last just as long, if not longer, why not. $100 bucks up front is not a big deal.

    This.

If you want the best tire out there, it's the KM2, period.

Of course, I'm talking about total package (traction, noise, life, blah blah)

The Goodyears are nice. They will not last as long and you will have to get white letter out unless you go with 35x12.50x17 or bigger.

That, and they cost more, which makes no sense.

Mhmm km2's it is. I liked the hankook muds but had bad experience with hankooks on my dodge. But then again it was lowered on dubs and they were street tires

    That's what I would do.

If I ever do get another 2nd gen it's going to be real simple.

Nice 2.5 lift, stock Toyota wheels probably off 2nd gen 4Runner though, 285 km2's, done.

just for refference, except for the 4 foot deep pond ryan submarined through and the swamp crazyman got flooded in, i would not considder any of the puddles a challenge for any 2wd vehicle. none that i've seen at least.

I'll take full responsibility and say it was my idea cause I wanted to go through it and if you made it, I sure as hell could. But seeing the condition it was AFTER you got in it, I backed out of that one.

If I didn't have to work Saturday morning, I would. Then just stay up in Orlando Friday night. If I can get out of it then maybe I will. I just had the truck detailed for the first time in the 2 years I've owned it so she's all shiny and smooth. And I just finally finished cleaning the interior and all the spots where the clay stained the rubber trim around the doors and such.
