Passenger Window Not Operable

Cal me stupid! I put one of those hockey fan flags on the glass and closed the window. Now it is jammed! probably, (hopefully) burned out the fuse, hopefully nothing more, but i need to get that bloody window down! can you a) offer suggestions, and b) tell me which fuse it is, as the handbook does not show it. And i hope it's not the same fuse as the driver window, because that one is still working and that would mean. . . . .

 

Might be stupid but did you accidentally lock the window switch?

 

usually windows aren't separated on different fuses so I wouldn't think a fuse is your issue. Do you hear the motor at all when you push the button?

 

Your best bet is going to be to remove the door panel and begin troubleshooting. I'd start with unbolting the assembly and lowering the window manually to see if you've jammed or lodged it somehow. Next, I would disconnect and ohm the window motor.

 

Yep, all the windows have different fuses. They're in the box below the driver's side A/C vent, Double Cabs have 4 and Access Cabs have 2. They're labelled so you can try switching them and see if the window works then.

 

Took a picture of the fuses:

P FR = Passenger Front
P RR = Passenger Rear
D FR = Driver Front
D RR = Driver Rear

 

Open the door, put one hand on inside and the other on the outside(squeeze), with someone else working the button, pull the glass down, carefully.

 

this is always the best first step. dont force anything.

 

Thanks from a dumb old guy to you younger smarter guys. Great ideas, but my neighbour solved the problem, as the first replier said: the lock out button somehow got pressed! Didn't know what that button was, despite the clear drawing of a window! My wife said she had one of those buttons on her Mazda3 and didn't know what it was either, but she's got ten years fewer excuses. I'm discovering many things about age as I age! Thanks all.

Damn .... I just did the same thing. I pressed the freekin' window lock while I was installing my brake controller. I was thinking .... how the heck did I screw up the passenger window just installing a brake controller!!!! I figured I must have accidentally pulled out a wire. I was freeking out and figured it was going to cost me a fortune!!!!! Did a quick search and found this thread. Feel like an idiot but the window is working and my trailer break is working too!!!

I wonder how many people show up at the dealership with this problem LOL.
