I've had a "minor" rust issue on my L.F. box side since I bought my Tacoma 3 years ago. Upon countless hours of admiring my prized possession, I've come to realize that my rust issue is not the fault of Toyota, but that of a previous owner. There is a blend mark in paint right around the fuel filler door, so this spot has been fixed once before.

So anyway, a couple months ago my "minor" rust issue became very significant at the local car wash when the bubbled paint blew apart. I decided I didn't want to spend a small fortune to have this fixed professionally, so I decided to tackle it myself. Here is the result.

All supplies in, I paid about $45.
    - Surface prep kit from Princess Auto (Harbor Freight) - $14.99
    - Spray Can of Bedliner - $9.99
    - Can of Primer - $6.99
    - 3 Orange Toyota Fender Flare Clips - $4.00 each
    - Being able to admire a job well done with a cold Canadian beer in your hand - $ Priceless.....

Nope, a can of bedliner from the local autoparts store. I figured this would give me the best stone chip protection given the area I was working on.

Yeah, hard to pickup sarcasm in text. :D

I'm hoping I'll get a couple years out of this fix anyway.
