Parking Break bypass help

I just installed a auto relay, and did everything the videos on youtube said except i soldered the wires to the relay. I can't figure out what I did wrong, the sound plays, but i can"t play a video???

 

need more info what kind of radio model etc etc and how exactly did you wire up the relay

 

Its a pioneer AVH3300BT, I soldered the ground wires to 85 and 87 on the relay, the remote wire to 86 and the parking brake wire to 30. If you need anymore information or want me to post a picture just let me know.

 

That should work. Only thing different on mine is that 86 and 87 went to ground, 85 remote and 30 parking brake wire. That difference shouldn't matter though. Double/triple check your wires. Look here for relay details http://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp

Also, might check the relay health by energizing the coil (85 - 86) and listen for the "clunk" of the switch. Can also check continuity of the 30 -87 path with a multimeter, with the 85-86 energized.

 

Yup that should work 85 and 87 to ground 86 remote wire and 30 to light green
