Yeah in one picture you can see the DB/cam bolts just barely hanging down.

damn....once you get wifey's approval...aint no stopping you.
i know how that goes :p
i'd say test drive one before getting serious. IMO,They are completely different from the tacoma. nohing like learning how to ride a bike, just different being so far from the windshield, the infamous "blind spot" which, if you adjust your mirror properly and get a set of the "fish eye" stick on mirror's...solves the problem. Gotta get used to the half doors. The back seats are plenty of room for adults, just getting in is kind of snug.
Check it out and let us know how it goes Kevin

No i didnt realize that one was a 6sp. I can drive a stick but I sure as hell dont want one. Im looking in dallas for some, stock, and they are all asking like 24k for 07,08's that have low miles. I guess thats about right...idk. but Im gonna try and test one out at lunch at the stealership here then get serious about this after our road trip at the end of the month.

I love the tires, LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of trimming, including pinch weld bashing and a 1" BL for the rear clearance and it still rubs a little in the back. MPGs are pretty bad. 13-14 city 14-15 highway with 4.56gears.

Sweeeet! he wont be disappointed. that thing is soooo strong. I pulled out a big ass F150 buried way deep in the mud with it. had to snatch block, and anchor my FJ to another FJ and that bumper didnt even move a millimeter.

The cross member on my FJ is removable, but I've heard that you dont even have to mess with the cross member on the FJ for the DB lifts.
