My folks used to live in a condo and pick ups weren't allowed and there were no garages to park in.

I could see no WORK trucks... but personal trucks... what's the big deal? If no trucks, then what about suv's? They're big and ugly and nothing but a pick up with a permanent cap on the back :notsure:

There is no way this will work. It will be as almost as effective as banning hurricanes from vacationing there.

several HOA neighborhoods in s. florida have 'no truck' rules, and some don't allow 'work vehicles' either.

My buddy moved into a townhome in Weston, FL and was told he couldn't have his pick-up or his police car- as it was a 'commercial/work vehicle'. He threatened to sue, call the papers, etc.

He got to keep his popo mobile but has to cover it with a car cover, and he did indeed have to get rid of his truck...

    Non HOA communities FTW!

Townhomes, apartments, I get that. If you have a work vehicle I suppose they figure they can muscle you into leaving it at work, instead of having multiple cars taking up parking spaces. But your driveway? That makes no sense.

My buddy moved to florida (pembroke pines) and he either had to put a cap on his truck or put it in a garage.he had a silverado and traded it for an envoy.I'll never understand the "no pick up" bullshit.just another fundraising scam.

That is absolutely ridiculous! I'm glad I live in North FL, not with all the crazies down there in South FL haha.

That seems stupid to me. I would think neighborhoods would want the presence of a police car in his driveway every night. Seems like it could serve a purpose to me...

Time to saddle up and roll this thru their hood and park it in the yards. The law says no trucks in the driveways. I read nothing about them not being allowed in the yard itself. They'll need an update after my visit.

Watch out CG, here I come..........

or a ridgeline. It can be argued that the ridgeline is not a truck due to it being a unibody pile of failure.
