yes he did didn't he! don't get me wrong thats ideal i would not mind that except i don't know any one who could weld for me down here in south jersey after i modified it though. this has to be cut and boxed in right? i could cut but to have some one weld a 1,200 dollar bumper seems sort of strange to me. a 33 inch tire would be standard for most if not all 3 inch lifts maybe relentless can hook me up with something either way i will keep you guy's posted this is all going to get real interesting real fast! haha there is now literally a shit load of stuff happening to my truck in a very short period of time. once again thanks for all the help guy's:)

Forget about CVs, if you lift the front 4" you're downtravel will be gone. Your front end will ride like a skateboard in the rough stuff, or even just cracks on the pavement.

pro comp says its a 3 inch kit i have heard more than one guy say that they got more though. trust me i'm hoping that it does not go above three for multiple reasons. the kit is getting professionally installed by a reputable 4x4 shop in central jersey so i'm sure they will do a good job i hope. should i do a shackle flip when the guy;s sre in there as well if so which one would be the best. i'm not a high speed off roader if that helps.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

I just bought Daystars there about 50 bucks shipped. I think 240 is ridiculous for a flip kit and bumps unless your doing are bumps.

ok i will check into that so basically i would be doing all pros u-bolt flip then buying bump stops on my own right. what bump stop would work best for up travel and is there any fabrication involved when it comes time to instal?

once again its a 3 inch pro comp lift so i would imagine that a 5 inch bump stop would really impede me being able to stuff the rears. seems almost counter productive doesn't it? it makes me wonder what application the timbrens where designed for. seems like they are more for the high speed desert guy's who are looking for air lol.

the timbrens actually compress to stock height. those jaring hard hits also become much smoother

so you are saying go for the timbrens? or go for a different set-up at this point 250 is a drop in the bucket for something that can have a negative impact on the ride. if the timbrens smooth things out thats the way i want to go then. and the diff drop was recomended to me pro comp they said it was nessary to do when installing this lift. idk about it making much of a difference all i know is i don't want to be having issues with my cv boots tearing constantly or any other hard or undue stress of the front diff if i can help it.

i've had nothing but good things to say about them. my truck gets a very versitile use out of them. when you have a heavy load in the bed or tow a trailer with a higher toung weight, the the timbrens are tall enough to add a little extra support to help your springs out. however they are still soft enough to allow full compression of your rear suspension when wheeling. and lastly, they are very good at slowing your suspension down on a jump or similar action than the stock rubber ones or aftermarket poly ones which jar you a lot more. i'd ridden in trucks with all three types of bump stops before buying, and chose the timbrens as a result

what? i know there are inherent downfalls to lifting truck. it changes the geometry of the truck completely and there for you are at the mercy of a host of drive train anomalies and problems. here is what the guy at pro comp or 4wheelparts told me. he said that toyota executives and engineers where present through out the entire process when they developed and tested the pro comp suspension lifts for the second generation tacomas. he said it never would have been allowed to be produced if it caused any problems. that sounded like a line to me so i did some looking around and toyota did in fact over see the development of the kit. they recommend a diff drop so i ordered the one they sold me and its going in it could be anything idk i'm just using the recommended parts.

lol yeah it looks like it's about a 1/4 inch thick hardened steel! its bad ass to say the least. i was going to hold off installing it due to the diff drop going in i think it might need some type of billet spacer for it to mount up right. once again thanks again for the help on the flip kit i appreciate it alot man.

regardless it's way more beefy than the factory skid thats for sure. ato makes some wild stuff i was checking their website last night now i want a bumper i was considering the arb but i heard you have to cut and box the ends to fit 33's and thats not cool so then i was looking at relentless sent him two messages one on his website and one pm and i have not heard back from him yet. if erics bumper prices out to be equal to the arb once its all shot with line-x i will go for it today.
