How do group buys work?

Can some one explain to me along with the others that are new to TW how group buys work?

 

you get a group of people to buy the same thing for a discounted price

 

It discounted cuz a large amount of people want to buy it?

When you do a group buy make sure the company is a reputable company catch an interest in what people want like coilovers tell them how many people would i need to get for the best price possible and once you have people committed it gets going from there but like said the more people involved the better the discount.

Best payment method would be with the company so if anything happens the company is responsible

 

so everyone just pays straight to the company and lets them know theyre part of the group buy?

 

Yes the company should be well aware of the group buy all you would do is say im from tacoma world heres my screen name and should go from there, best to talk to the company and say how they would like the payment method to be done clears up alot
