Hmmmmmm I'd say I'd join in, but I'm thinking a helicopter ride from here to there might not be too enjoyable. I've been waiting for quite some time for some one to quit the local Air Evac medical chopper so I can ride part time. Problem is - people get hired and rarely quit - thus creating a waiting list. :(

We have one of those here in Alberta, it's called "Stars" and they are the dream job for EMT's. Definitely an exciting line of work because if stars gets called then shit hit the fan.

Same down here. The closest hospital to the department I work for now is about 30 miles away, so when we get a bad trauma or have to extricate someone, we usually call a chopper. I'm bridging to my RN currently because for some reason there is always RN openings on the birds but never medics. :notsure: Plus - I need a backup job for when I can't ride the ambulance or fight fires anymore.

+ with double certified, you'll throw yourself in the lead on competition for the positions :D

I'm trying to do the same with my job, only need a 4th Class Power Engineering for mine but I've got half my 3rd Class (4 hard ass exams, 2 finished currently) and I might go to my 2nd after.

Yes it will def increase my odds :D I'm not sure what those classes you are taking are, but they sound hard. Good luck with them! You've definitely got you're head screwed on better than most kids in their 20's. :D

The GF does here.... it scares me cause she's in control of the whether or not we do, she's on the pill. Thank god she's not the type to just stop taking it on purpose but it's still a fear trusting someone else with that
