I want a 3" lift on my 2011" TRD off-road. I have found many companies who make them however I hear that the truck will not be level. I talked with a rep who recommended I use a front leveling kit with rear 1" blocks. Has anybody done this and can I still fit a 32" tire with a 17" rim without trimming? I can't go any higher on the lift due to the vehicle stability control.

I have a 2009 with VSC... I run a 6" Fabtech lift with 35" tires. You can run a 6" if it's in your budget :) and it should be level... no reason that it wouldn't I imagine.

Avoid leveling kits all together. and you can fit 32's on stock suspension.

I did 3" in the front and 2" AAL in the rear and my truck sits perfectly level.

I did the ready lift on mind. It's a 3 inch up front with blocks in the back. No problems with vibrations or the other crap everyone always complains about these kits. Sits level and not even the infamous tacoma lean. I guess if done right you shouldn't have any problems. My taco is a double cab short bed. And the kit didn't come.with anything for the differential.

I spoke with a rep a toytech an they suggested going with Bilstein 5100's all the way around with Eibach springs in the front and a AAL in the rear. The whole kit was about $700-$800 dollars depending on which AAL I used. I have seen a example of this kit on a 2010 and it is exactly what I'm looking for. I would also use front spacers in order to ensure it's level
I also spoke with Fabtech and talked to them about their 6" lift. Seems like either is a good option if I decide to go higher. Thanks guys!

My thought is, why put a cheap ass lift on a brand new truck? Why not spend a little more and get a quality lift and do it right the first time...?

If you are going with the eibachs and the 5100s then there is no reason the get spacers... The springs will give you 1.6" of lift and the 5100s can give you either .85" or 1.75"... that with an aal for the rear and you will be good to go.

Guess we ought to ask if you're wanting a Mall Crawler or a fully functional overland vehicle.

If a Mall Crawler, then suspension spacers ought to be fine; just don't get all crazy like. I know quite a few who have had no problems, but there are also those on TW who have.

However, if your not going for show and want performance, it seems Bilsteins or OME's are the way to go. There are quite of few here that are more than willing to assist if you choose to go that direction.

For now, I went with a 3" spacer and an AAL level kit, until my existing parts wear out in 30-40k miles. At which point, I'll sell the spacers and go for a true suspension lift.

    Hope this helps

Spacers won't wear out, all they are is a solid piece of metal, it will be your ball joints and shocks that go.

Guys, when he says level, he MAY mean left to right, and be talking about a packing spacer for "taco lean"

If you don't do crazy I say get 5100s all around and use stock springs for now . It will get you 2.5" for the front
get 1.5" AAL if you have Toyota TSB or 2" AAL if you don't have TSB . Ur truck will sit level and total cost around $ 400 bucks (parts and labor). Then get bigger wheels and tires ( if you have more $$)

Well from the research I've done it looks like the 5100's with a stronger spring and a AAL is a pretty solid option. I don't want to go ridiculous with it and go 6". I do take my truck off road quite a bit considering I work in the Mojave desert. As long as I can fit 17" rims with at least 32" tires and have a little more aggressive stance I'm happy with a 3" lift. The truck has bilstein's stock and is already a lot taller than stock taco's so I think I'll be fine.

anyone know if JUST adding the 5100's to get a small lift in the front
    requires any addition parts/adjustments?
