We ended up welding the rear diff, going to order up a Detroit locker, and put the gears in when it cools down some. Then we are going to tear into the motor and replace the timing chain, and see where that leads us.

I have explicit orders not to work on the truck while my dad is gone :( though yeah that should fix it.

How long is he going to be gone? We're going to have to make sure and not miss to many Sundays.

Oh he is gone really for the next month or so. Maybe a weekend here and there, but when he's here well have the 4runner out. Gotta stop wheeling it though so we can get the good stuff done on it.

Hmm, nothing is set in stone, we still have the pair of lockrights, and haven't ordered anything yet. Can't wait to get that stuff in when the time comes though, should make it a capable rig.

Lol, we welded the rear already, probably just leave that till we get the gears in. We have a lockright for the front too, but we are looking to sell one of them.

I am hoping the park is up to par. I understand they just opened up, but I'm hoping they have more than a few trails cut. We will see today...

    You know the rules.... pics!?!

Ehhh.... one trip to Bridgeport, one trip to Tolar, and not much.

    Tolar Report from a 4Runner:

The overall place is still under construction. No signs, no directions, and the map is hard to use because it is three pages taped together due to the way the park runs. The main roads are in good shape like Bridgeport; but the secondary roads to most of the trails are like old ranch roads. They aren't bad - just some places will suprise you. You can tell the trails were cut by j33ps because of the average width of the trails. The "trails" we found today almost all needed 4x4 and a locker. I got stuck in soft dirt and had to get pulled once. Overall the place will be great in a few years once more trails are cut, the map is worked out, and the trails have been better established.

Right now the trails are not 2wd friendly; locker or not. Before we left we did talk to the woman running the store/office if it would be ok if we cut some hard 2x4/ mid level 4x4 trails. She said she would talk to her boss and get back to us.

I'll post some pics in a bit.

Hey, I don't think there's going to be any meets around Tyler, but there's a good amount around the Dallas area if you don't mind the drive
