Does anyone have one of these bumpers? If so how do you like it? And could you post pictures? I'm trying to decide between this and the 4x innovations with the class 3 hitch for my 97!

I bought a bumper from Padgett Fabrication about 2 years ago for my 89 Toyota and picked it up from him. I no longer have the truck, but it was very well fabricated and included 2" receiver, D rings for shackles, license plate mount with light, and diamond tread on top. I would buy another one from him although his prices increased quite a bit in the last few years.

Prices are always negotiable. I can usually cater a price to the customer to match a budget, but I mainly give discounts to those who serve their country or their communities

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately when it comes to price, the fact that steel has double and tripled in the past few years has a lot to do with it. Shipping has also increased for me, and thats multiplied by the fact that I ship in wooden crates instead of 'cardboard' like i used to. I do offer 10% discounts to certain people, ie Military, Police, Fire, students, EMS.... and I give deployed Military 20% off.

I am glad you enjoyed your bumper. If you need another someday, I will give you 10% just for being a previous customer. Do you have my pictures of my bumper on your truck, even though you have sold it since?

Definatly look like good quality bumpers. They all look unique (part of the reason i made my own.) Nothing like having someone build a bumper that can be personalized or built to your spec's.

I've heard good things about the 4xinnovations bumpers. I haven't heard a lot about the Padgett Fab bumpers, but that doesn't mean they are not a good bumper. The 4xinnovations have side protection unlike the Padgett Fab bumpers unless it can be added on so I would take that into consideration too especially if you do a lot of wheeling.

I like the 6th picture. What class rating would it fall into for towing with the receiver mounted like that?

Equivilent to class III, but I have never had my hitches tested. I have been building them for 13 years like that, with zero issues. 98% of my customers order the hitch. Look at the standard class III hitch, which only has a 2x2 or 2.5x2.5 crossbar... this bumper is that hitch assembly, but it is 3x5" and much more rigid. My Brackets are 3/8" thick and use (3) half-inch bolts per side. If you are worried, I offer an Ultra Heavy duty version which adds a 1.5" x3/16 gusset strip down the brackets AND The brackets stub on the bumper.

I wouldn't hesitate to tow whatever the truck can pull. The bumper and hitch are definitely NOT the weak point by ANY means.

    Thanks for the interest!!!

These pictures were taken in the rain, so that's what see on the surface of the bumper... rain droplets... this one has no jack notches, and no license plate option... and was for another soldier who got 10-20% off

It depends, 84-2004, anywhere from 275-450 plus shipping, more if you need tire carrier.... 2005+ bumpers start at 575 plus shipping....

    Buyer beware of Padgett Fabrication:
he seems to have fallen off the face of the planet and ripped people off on several forums./ebay.
3 years ago he operated as OverKill Off Road and pretty much repeating his crap.
Padgett-you give vets a bad name...
