    hey guys,
i need to apologize for not being on here or really helping anyone out lately. I am going through a lot of personal stuff in the last week that i need to deal with. last week a family member of mine died and yesterday my girlfriend of 2 years broke up with me out of the blue. currently all of my work is going to be on hold until i can get my life straightened out and figure out where i need to go from here, i'm just feeling like everything in falling apart. i'm sorry to everyone who is still waiting for a bumper but this is something that i have to do and i hope you all will understand. if there are any questions or concerns feel free to call or PM me and i'll get back to you when i can.

    -Tim

I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost many family members myself, including a sister and 3 grandparents, and a couple very close aunts.

I dont want to be the bad guy here, but I'm going to say its BS to put everything on hold because you had a bad week. If your intent is to make your life even worse than it is now, that is the perfect way to accomplish it. You need to focus on the good things in your life; the things that are working for you.

So, right now you have the potential for a profitable business, so much so that people here have prepaid at least $40k for your work. Taking a break from that is a very poor decision, as not only do your current customers start thinking they'll never see their purchase, but also, your business's reputation will follow. Just about every small business would love to be in your situation where they have people lined up and even have prepaid for your products. Dont ruin it.

Taking a break tends to completely backfire, specially if you dont keep your business and personal finances separate. I've seen it many times where someone will start to use the business money for something else, planning on pre-orders to cover the costs to finish everything, eventually getting to the point they cant afford to make the orders already taken and no one is willing to place anymore more orders because of that.

So, while I can understand taking a break, I can also tell you that this is not the direction to take to get it back on track. The solution is, as has been done for hundreds of years, keep doing the things that work; live and move on from those that didn't work.

Sitting there, dwelling on something, is going to be the quickest way to get clinically depressed as well. Its a bad idea. The best thing you can do is to keep busy, and if you need a shoulder to cry on, find a friend or a shrink, but putting life on hold is not the answer.

So, if you really are going to make the mistake of putting your life on hold until you decide what to do, I strongly recommend either completing all the jobs you accepted payment for, or outright refunding everyone's money. Dont make it an option. You are either in business or out of business. It isn't the right thing to do to put anyone's money on hold while you think about your life.

True, getting on with life is probly good therapy but I don't see any harm in taking a week or so off to put things in perspective. Maybe a time out is just what Tim needs to clear his head and start a new chapter in life.

Nobody knows what Tim is REALLY going through except Tim. We've all lost family members & girlfriends but maybe there's more to it than that. And doing half-ass work on bumpers cuz u r depressesed isn't gonna do anybody any good at all.

All we can do is support him and wish him the best. Hang in there Tim, things will get better.

I don't think it sounds like he's running from anything. If he needs a week or two, give him a week or two. He's not jeopardizing his business by giving himself a breath or two.

Thanks man. That's not a bad price for a pair. Have a friend that swears he can get these for about $160 each. Guess I'll find out for sure when I'm ready to buy em. Let us know how you like em once you get em wired up.

160 each is a great price jump on the if you can just make sure they are the D2's the D2's have 6 LED's. I've got them wired up but have yet to drive the truck at night. But let me tell you I fired them up last night in the back yard and they are 10 times brighter then my head lights.
