    Oh Yeah!!!
    Anyone having issues or had issues w/their PS3 not playing games or any DVD's???

    I have the 80GB, and just 3 F'in weeks out of the one year warranty and kerplunk. No disc can be read. All my kids memory is good, internet access and all, but no play capability...

    What should I do...

    since warranty is out...............take that sumbitch apart and see whats happening on the inside dude!!:D

    could be a bad board or something(yeah, i know.....i aint an electronics guy:eek:)

    I know you can try to find a replacement drive on ebay but I head they go for around $100-$150. I think that you can send it in to Sony and they charge something like $150 and if they can't fix it they send you a refurb. Sorry that is about all I can think of. But since it is just out of warrenty call Sony and see if they are willing to swing something with you. Either way good luck to you!!

    Also to open it up you will have to break the warrenty seal inside, so I would call Sony first.
