front bumper suggestion for a prerunner dc? any pics?

Hello folks!

Someone damaged my front bumper and it needs to be replaced, the fender and extension also needs to be replaced and the quote is around $1000, figure now would be a good time to upgrade and get an aftermarket bumper. It's just a 4x2 double cab prerunner that won't be going off road. It's also lifted with the billy's at 1.75" up front and 1" blocks in back. The All Pro looks good and so does the ARB but I don't want to have to redo my suspension for the added weight. Any ideas or suggestions? Any pics? Thanks in advance for the advice!

go allpro, its lightweight and cool as hell

 

All Pro makes a hybrid that's lighter than their plate bumper, but personally, I think it's ugly.

 

I agree with the both of you, All Pro looks awesome! I called them today, so if anyone's curious the standard front bumper is 80 lbs and does not require additional shock adjustment. Now I just gotta get my estimate and I'm pretty sure I'm going the All Pro route! Thanks for the replies!

another thing to consider about the added weight is that your taking off the stock bumper to put the new one on...i know they dont weigh that much but im sure its a good 15-20lbs.

damn you dont waste time modding...honestly the only reason you didnt get my vote for this months TOTM was cuz im not a fan of brush guards. i wish i had money to mod at the rate you do, your truck will be completely ridiculously sweet once that all pro is on.

 

I like the look of the brush guard, but if I want to continue with this offroading sport, there is a point when function comes before form. And this is one of those times... My favorite bumper is the Road Armor, but it's HELLA heavy and $2000. Too much weight and money...

Very good discipline! Me, I'm usually hey I got 80% now and by the time my bill comes, I'll have the other 20%, then about a few days before my bill, I'm like, hey I got 80%... Then the vicious circle begins, that's how my $9000 Speed Triple turned into a $13000 bike in less than 2 months, and certainly I don't make THAT much money!

But back on subject, that black bumper is gonna make your black truck look sooo bad ass! You'll most definitely have to post some pics when you get it installed!

I'm going to get a bumper too and after my research, it was All Pro due to reputation and light weight.

 

Is Beef getting into the bumper business...?

This is only true if you don't mind your front end dropping 1/4" to 1/2" over the stock bumper configuration. I had enough clearance to drive around town with my ~33's and after the All Pro bumper install I couldn't turn the wheel w/o rubbing. After raising my front suspension by 4 complete turns on my Donohoe's (~1/2") everything was fine again.

Remember, that 80lbs if WAY out in front of the suspension and the moment applied by the 80lbs is pretty significant.
