S&W SIGMA 9MM

Long time pal has a new one and wants to swap for my new savage 243. what to do???

 

Its a good gun. Price wise i got one new for $219. So they are inexpensive.

 

I've never shot a SIGMA, sort of reminds me of the Taurus Millennium which, barring maybe the Beretta Storm, is the shittiest handgun I've ever shot.

However, the S&W M&P is a great handgun, hopefully some of that has rubbed off on the Sigma. I'd probably keep your rifle though.

 

243 is as new not, 10 rounds threw it. I just dont use it and Im looking to trade it for something I will not leave in the closet.. I spend all my time on a bird dog lease now and the 243 is a tad over kill for birds.

 

I'd keep the 243. I have shot a sigma and I think it's a piece of crap hand gun. The M&P is a great hand gun and was made after the sigma learning the mistakes they made with it.

Yes, the M&P is almost good enough to be a Sig Sauer IMHO

The sigma I shot was a friends gun he uses for armed security he is allowed to practice with so many rounds a month. It's not accurate and the slide rattles. I have a SA XDM40 and I love it. The S&W M&P, Sigs, Glocks (even though I can't stand them) are all quality firearms.

 

You live in Orlando, FL, right? Take that 243 down to Addison's gun shop in Kissimmee (trust me, they are best gun folks in Central Fla) and see what they can do for you. They're a bunch of great people, and they have a huge selection and everything is priced great.

Thanks Ive got about 650 in the 243 ( hard case, upgrade strap and 100 rounds) Im not going to trade for a handgun I can get new for 3oo bucks. Will have to get a good over and under 20Ga.or a new 9mm for the other half for the 243 as its new and a hell of a nail driver right out of the box. Thanks to all for the input!!! Jim

I have a Sigma I keep for home protection. I just shot the Sigma and my M&P Saturday. The Sigma is not a comfortable gun to me, the wife hates it. I would look for and M&P if you want a good 9mm. First 5 rounds were dead center of the red circle the rest where grouped around the edge so it is a very accurate good. The Sigma I could not hit the center to save my life.
