will i be able to clear 33's with stock rims and 5100's set at 2.5" and 1.5" AAL?

i understand some trimming will be needed, and rub a little on the frame.. the search doesnt work for me and googling the answers quite tuff with so many questions on TW

    thanks in advance

you'll need new wheels with a deeper backspacing like 4.5" or less or you can run wheel spacers like SpiderTrax in a 1.25" size...as far as the height goes it will be fine but it WILL require some minor trimming....there's TONS of threads about this if you use the "search" function...good luck and post pics ehen you get it all installed

yeah u can clear 33s with a 2.5" lift, you'll rub a bit but should be fine for the most part, i ran a 2.5" spacer with 285s with 4.5 backspacing on my rims and it was fine. the rear was stock and cleared the 285 so you should have no problem with the AAL. go for it:cool:

Because the 285 will rub your uca's you can get rims or spidertraxxx wheel spacers to clear

like they said, you'll rub without any spacing.
even with it you'll still have to trim inner fender wells and more than likely have to hammer the pinch weld and chop the cab mount.

You'll clear them with minimal trimming however the back of the tire will not clear the uca. Thats why they are say a 4.5 bs so it moves the tire out more away from the uca's

Were you running 285/75 or 285/70?

^correct, i only had rub on the flares and plastics and on the cab mount because i never had it chopped but i clearly remember never rubbing the uca because i was concerned about that
and then i added spidertrax for a wider stance and rubbed on the sides more lol it was weird but yeah no uca rub forsure

it's not necessarily wider, just the aspect ratio you have to calculate with if i'm not mistaken.

Okay OP disregard Rcfreak as he wasnt payng attention. You will clear with minimal trimming. However since you have the stock rims you wont clear the uca so you need to either get wheel spacers or a new set of rims with a 4.5 bs or less.
