Gibson Headers- How are they?

    So I have been browsing online, and Ive heard good things about gibson exhaust, how are their headers, and how are their 1st gen headers?

    I have an 01 tacoma and really want some headers, just not sure what to get!

    sure it is, headers are the best way to gain some performance without forced induction, especially in 1st gens.

    Headers are pretty much useless unless you slap a TRD SC kit on the truck.

    I had gibson headers on my tundra and they were nice. They fit great and didn't leak. I'm looking for headers for my tacoma as well now seems like everyone on here prefers doug thorley or TRD which aren't made anymore. I'm in a predicament as well gibson or doug thorley?

    Yeah, I have heard good things about headers after the install. I could imagine at least a slight gain in exhaust loudness and some hp.

    Noo wayy headers are the number 1 best performance mod besides forced induction. I have the gibson headers on my taco. They fit great and give you good bottom and mid rpm gains.

    I got gibson headers on my truck. Could definitely tell the difference in power in the low rpm range when merging onto the freeway..

    For those of you 1st gen guys w/ gibson headers, did you notice your exhaust getting any louder / deeper?

    my exhaust pretty much sounded the same after I installed the headers you running flowmaster 40 series?

    So should I get headers since I've got a S/C? I was never a fan of headers, but never really looked into it much. Always worried about them leaking.

    I have a gibson catback and it lowered a sound very little. Just more engine roar. Sounds good though.

    I wouldnt worry about them leaking. If you tighten it up right with gaskets you'll have no problem. PLus you will see a larger gain in HP since you have a S/C. I say go for it!

    I'll keep it in mind. It's a little tough to find stuff way the fuck up north here, and I just ordered and OME lift so it will be a while before I get my allowance saved back up. I've gotta get the wife some nice diamonds before I get anything else for the truck to take her mind off all the stuff I'm buying for the truck.
