Just strange to me off the top of my head to think a amp needs more watts to boost output. Isn't that what it's for? Like my stereo (maybe bad example) only needs small signal for the amp...then it does all the work. I think I just don't know WTH :p

I think the FCC is a little busy trying to fine people for cursing on the radio and television than to worry about a redneck keying over 5 watts.

The FCC can be a "fickle" bunch....jumping on dealers $hit & not touching the guy down the street...;)

Biggest, loudest dam radio will not do $hit without a GREAT antenna....

Now if you use the radio for a living, 2 choices...tech license and Ham "IT" or find a dealer that knows what they are selling....." A lincoln pushing 2000 watts NOT!!!!!! but a Galaxy ,Connex ,Magnum,Ranger or Stryker with a WARRANTY will "Get you out there" and not SPLASH your neighbor ....:D

My MACK Office has a Magnum S-3 that does everything AM I could ask for....more distance than that and NEXTEL takes over ....

    Great group of people !!!!!

I've got my Cobra 19 "peaked & tuned"... she's up around 20 watts now... Couple that with what is probably one of the best antennas on the market and.... Well you've seen how well mine works.. :D
