I put this in early yesterday and was very much surprised on not only the sound difference but the performance boost at high speeds.

This is my my first mod and I just wanted to take some time to thank the forums contributors, who were extremely helpful in making my first choice.

Still unclear what that sensor tube is for though - instructions do not mention it.

That's awesome. Update the thread later on if you don't mind. I'm thinking about doing this as well and I would like to know your results in the mileage and performance department.

thats the meter that shows when your air filter gets restricted and its time to replace the filter.

Guessing it'll be a couple weeks before my lead foot goes away. Keep opening it up every chance I get but I will reply back later.

That's pretty much what I figured but am glad someone could confirm - thanks.

I took off the Carbon Filter... Its pretty easy you just cut the plastic rivots... Didn't notice anything different but I think it helped ...

Had to drive around the parking lot a couple times to get the odometer to flip 300 but that is a single tank of gas, which put me around 40 additional miles on my tank. Getting ~ +2mpg. Considering it costs me $75 to fill up in the bay area, this should pay for itself relatively soon.

What did you want to know? Relatively easy installation and I've not had a single issue with mine. Mileage improved, sounds better, and it picks up a little bit more. Will eventually pay for itself.

In about 10 years, if you get a 1-2 mpg gain....

No. Its a vacuum gage, and lets you know when the air filter is getting plugged.
