Ok, here's what's going on. In the morning when I go start my truck, it doesn't start right away. At first I thought it was the battery, but the engine turns over pretty good. After a few attemps and letting it turn over for a few seconds it starts up and is fine after that. Any ideas what it could be? It also happens when I get off work, seems like after it sits for a while it does this. Don't really work on cars much, just looking for some ideas of what it could be before I go out and spend a bunch of money getting it fixed. Thanks for the help!!

It's prob the battery. Mine was doing that exactly right before it went out. How old is the battery you currently have?

    Sounds like:
-timing is off (timing belt could of jumped a tooth)
-not getting enough fuel (fuel pump going out/ clogged fuel line)
    -bad spark plugs/wires

Your starter about to quit on you. Is it sometime started right of,and sometime doesn't? Just to be sure take it let it be checked.

Five, there is a TSB for this. http://www.empirepao.com/tsb/T-EG011-07.pdf

and it should still be covered even if your 3 year 36,000mile warranty is up. it has something to do with emissions or something...anyway, check out that link.

PS, search for "hard start" or something to that effect

It's the origional battery, going on 4 1/2 years old. I hope it's the battery, that would be a cheaper fix than the other things mentioned. Thanks for the replies fellas. I'm gonna stop by autozone tomorrow, and have them check it out.

Damn, you got lucky with that OEM battery. Mine barley lasted 2 years... I'd put my money on the battery going out.. Let's just hope it's just that and nothing else...

I had the battery checked today and it's bad. Was going to buy an Optima Red Top from Advanced AutoParts online (there's a $30 off promotion), and pick it up at the store but they don't have any. They do have the yellow top. Any thoughts on the yellow top vs. the red top?

Got a new Optima Yellow Top battery and sure enough it starts right up. It barely even cranks before starting. Thanks for the help y'all! I'm glad I got this taken care if before it ruined something else.
