That blows..I was at the gym at the time..then was mowing the lawn by 5. There is another hobby shop out in Hillsboro..not as good as Tammies but a little bit more close to you. Astoria is a far drive just for parts lol

I didn't know Coast Guard has a station in Sacramento.

Ummm I'm bored off my ass, not really plannin on coming to town but if you wanted to meet somewhere intermediate I dun give a rip. EDIT: My number is still 5 or so posts up... send a text if you want. I don't get great service here at the rents, but I should be able to recieve a text. Wouldn't' try calling, but if you do, be forewarned, that number will screen you before you call :D I love google.

I originally came into portland via 5 to 205, hit two hobby shops and neither had parts for my 600, finally Tammies had what I needed, at least most of the parts. Never came across one in Hillsboro, judging from the experiences with the other places, I doubt they have what I need. I did stop at the Jock in the Crotch on the way home though, been a long time!

I needed parts because I wanted to fly my helicopter this weekend in Illwaco, I know none of the old fogies there have ever really seen a helicopter fly.

So you know, theres nothing special about my truck, its more or less just a mall crawler right now. I go muddin, but thats about it. No armor, and a cheap lift at the moment.

All this talk about a wheeling trip why not head out just north of Stevenson out to trout lake? There's plenty of wheeling up there and some epic fishing. Just my .02 but I'm just a hick from Kalama lol.

Pic from after we got off of one of the trails behind my house, fun little trail, about a mile of mud, deep puddles, and ruts, then it opens up into a huge sand pit!

NOTE I also do photography on the side, if anyones interested in 'truck photos' over the next day or two, I shoudl have a little free time.

Sample, as well as my sig photo.

It was meant as a compliment, I just have bad phrasing. You worked those trails, bud.

Yeah. I haven't been there in almost 2 years, I went with a Jeep group that only wanted to stay out for half a day so we didn't go far at all.
I'd say you could do it in 4hi, or 2wd with good A/Ts. From the little I saw, the road was interesting with some mild whoops, mild off camber (as in just enough to say "oh, this isn't level"), and ruts. Completely stock friendly.
Don't expect things to be too technical unless there's snow, but the drive is beautiful and there's plenty of road. I'd do it again.
