Spectating should be free..might be a fee for general parking. And its 25 bucks for each vehicle to be on display

so whats everyone been up to?

 

Was washing my truck n noticed a bunch of grease everywhere, CV is fucked. Not very happy , gonna have to put in the front diff drop

 

how much are they charging you because i had to do this already?? what side is it on?

 

Passenger side, the boot is cheap but I've read its easier to just replace the whole axle. Called around and the axle is roughly $100+- not sure how much for labor. Did you do do it yourself or where did u get it done?

don't go aftermarket whole axle..they don't have the full range of motion as the stock CV has. also, keep in mind the stock OEM whole axle goes for a few hundred bucks.

it's not that big of a deal to change out the boots if you have the proper tools and a CV boot rebuilt kit. i would also suggest getting the CV boots that All Pro Offroad offers. their boots are a lot better then the stock boots, the rubber in those boots are more pliable and the fins are spread out more so they don't touch.
i used to go through outer boots every other month until i switched to the All Pro ones.

 

Sounds like you have plenty of experience, I've seen how you wheel your truck so I can imagine you've done this more then a few times wanna help?

I don't think the axle is in bad shape, so I'd rather just change out the boots, and maybe install the diff drop to help with the bad angles

 

In my opinion the diff drop is a waste of time and money.. you'll gain more benefits from the allpro CV boots. My schedule is real busy right now but I'm sure we can work something out..

 

You gonna do it yourself? I am sure a couple of us can come over to help you out.....as long as you supply ryan with plenty of tecate.....
