I used a plastic bonding spray paint so there was no preperation needed (sanding). I think it was Krylon plain white in a satin, and then I used a Krylon clear coat to make it match the exterior color. I also did my exterior badges with this same paint and it ended up matching very well.

I also painted the chrome around the gear shifter and the small piece at the bottom of the shifter. It all looks pretty good. It will look really good whenever I recover the seats with black and white leather.

    Looks great man.

How did you mask the steering wheel? Did you pull the logo out or tape it in place?

Asking just because I'm planning on doing the same thing but with mag grey on my mag grey truck.

^ One thing I would add to the instructions on removal is you could use a hair dryer to make the emblem more flexable so you could get behind it easier.

I'm hesitant to break that thing apart as in case of airbag deployment I don't want that thing turning into a shrapnel bomb in my face, but I'm probably being overly paranoid about it.

What you could do is unplug the negitive on your battery and you wouldn't have to worry about it going off.

Nice. i thought about doing that. i was gonna use the Krylon paint pens I used on the emblem of my engine cover. That way I dont have to remove the emblem.

    Nice job!

THAT is another good point - but I'm referring to having a dozen broken tabs that could pop out independently of the logo. Although if you superglue, I guess it wouldn't be all that likely to happen.

Good tip on the 30 minute no battery chillout time.

You actually have to cut the logo off and superglue it back on.

I think they look pretty good. Flush enough, realy cuts down on wind (even with both windows open 1/2 way). Great block of rain while driving (tried at about 1/2 way down in a real down pour) and parked keeps the fresh air flowing.

those look like weather techs, which slip into the window channel in the door. no tape, nothing needed... look a lot nicer than the stick on kind IMO

You may notice I painted the stuff behind the grill, not sure what Toyo was thinking when they put brushed finish behind that open grill...

Next up, truck bed liner on the skid plate.
