Me too. It works well with my new bumper. But... There's so much hate around here for them.

They'll work fine for the level of use they would be seeing on my DD/weekend wheeler

Just the stock TRD Skid. It covers my engine but not the transmission or transfer case. And its mounted on really skinny stand-off mounts that don't hold it tight to the body so I don't really trust it for anything besides trapping mud in a really hard to clean area...

LOL yeah. the other day we went up to marys peak. there were a few little power line type trails but there were a little tight and i had to power through some bushes.

she was more mad about than i was haha

there was also a bit of snow so we didnt have the greatest traction, but we were a good 5-8ft from the edge of the road and shes worried about us falling over

I learned on the most recent trip, it's best to leave the GF at home. At least until you know more of what you're doing. Confidence transfers to your passenger without saying a word a lot of times. If it's clear you're freaking out - the passenger will be too.

You whipped? :p My girl works 12 hours a day and has busy weekends so she can almost always find something to do with her free time if I'm not available

You just need to go out when she's working. I know she works at that new Hawaiian place on 9th :spy:

It's because the vendor tends to do a good marketing job, then says they aren't made for abuse... most complaints are about the front bumper. They also drag themselves into flamefests.
Bbusiness aside, here's word from Anton (hope he doesn't mind me quoting)
Since the prices are near equal, I'd rather go Elite or Relentless, and I can guarantee they are built for an apocalypse.

crap brain read sliders, you guys were talking skids. I've bugged both guys, but neither are doing skids. All I know is ATO, Beefed, MetalMiller, and Bud for skids, with Bud being the end all be all.

Relentless has done some FJ stuff, and you shouldn't complain - I thought the blue was crawling with vendors?

As we've discussed, the blue room is full of high-rollers that buy Icon Stage 2 suspension on their lunch break on a whim. So, prices for FJ stuff seems to be set accordingly

I have an excuse to come back up to the hobby shop YET ONCE MORE... but I don't want to

If you guys in the west portland area want to meet up somewhere and swap stories, then I might find the energy... but you need to let me know by 330 because I'm not going to get stuck on the wrong side of the 26 tunnel again!
