Welded exhaust tip?

    I assumed this was a normal Toyota thing but every other taco I see on the road I see has their exhaust hanging back and down a bit from where mine is. Not welded. Bought this truck a couple of weeks ago and everything else seemed stock .. wonder why he would do this .. weld job looks shitty.

    That's a stock muffler aye? sorry for the upside down pic ..

    previous owner probably put this muffler back on before he gave it back to the dealer. (sounds like u purchased used from dealer?)

    It looks the same on the other side, line wise, but I imagine the attempted weld fucked up the paint. Can't really see under the weld.

    id assume you can take it back and get them to fix that and the body...also do you have plans on upgrading your exhaust at all..if so just have them fix the body and then throw your new stuff under there...dealing with the stealerships is a PITA. less time there is best option IMO

    I plan on upgrading exhaust soon, so I'll take it to my exhaust guy. If there's any unfixable body damage I'll nail the dealer. Be sure to inform them first with pics etc.

    In an odd way I like it being up there, some of the stock tacos I've seen hang down quite a bit ...

    In about a foot maybe 18", right at the first bend there are two hangers that look stock. I assume this guy just cut the stock drop off and had it run parallel to the body.
