Dont get me wrong, I can appreciate the Raptor and what it is for. Not being a huge Ford guy, I can say it is pretty cool. My only thing is I live in Illinois, I see these all the time...but I'm in IL. I can totally understand selling them out west, but not in flat country. I've been stewing about this since they came out. Granted I understand that you wanna sell to a broad demographic, but why IL and IN, just doesnt make sense to me. OK, I have a 4x4 and dont use it as someone would in the western states, but Chicago gets a hell of a winter with snow, so thats my main reasoning behind it. Im not trying to dis the LT guys cause, secretly, most of us flat landers are jealous(me included) growing up watching Baja and we have corn fields to deal with...enough venting, that thing is B.A. IMO...

I'm pretty sure it's just a tube chassis racecar with a ford body on it. It has a trophy truck bulkhead and control arms. I very seriously doubt there is any Ford frame under there.

As I mentioned before, our son Josh works at Raceworks. Here is a sample of a professional video of the creation and building of the TSCO Ford Raptor Pre-Runner...

This is part 1 of 3. It will answer your questions about what it is... Josh isn't seen in this video but Ivan's son Craig is and one of the builders at Raceworks, Keith is. You guys will like this...

That video is amazing. When a shop uses cutting edge tech to accomplish a build its amazing at what they can accomplish in a given amount of time.

    Thanks for sharing.

I thought so too... Craig looks so much like his dad (Ivan) at that age, too... (He drives a Tacoma, by-the-way)

Keith (who is shown welding and talking about the build), is real cool... He was a room mate with Josh for awhile and we used to visit a lot. I remember the first time he got to co-drive a race (Vegas to Reno/ Nevada 500)... Keith just co-drove in the Baja 1000 last week.

Glad you guys liked the video and now we all know it is just an F-150 cab with the rest all custom tube frame and in the follow up video samples we will see the Raptor looking body on it. I will post the follow up videos when they are available.
