Love the taco although noticed the clutch was slipping a bit. Brought it into toyota and the tech (who does all my work there) stated that it needs to be replaced. Toyota ordered a new clutch and will replace it with no charge of course. Taco is a 2011 with 9,900 miles on it.

Probably a faulty part that's already been updated. Could've got a bad batch from their clutch supplier. Happens all the time in the motorcycle kingdom. Especially aftermarket parts.

I would not say "of course" but rather that you are very lucky on that one. Thank the dealer!
(I am not saying it was your fault, just stating that this is a commonly denied warranty issue)

I have a 08 TRD Ruged Trail my clutch was replaced at 30k. A month before I had it serviced told them check the clutch it chatter. they told me nothing was wrong. About 30 days later dead. I got home they picked it up said it was shot. Busted them it has no inspection cover, they lied replaaced it for free. waited four weeks for the forke. I have 63k just had it serviced same BS with the clutch, also the pedal squeeks. Just for the recored I had 222,000 on my 1998 Tacoma had the original clutch. It is what it is. I just got my Toytec lift, this Tacoma is crap compared with the old ones. Have them fix it and move on.

Thats exactly what my tech told me. He said that he replaced several clutches on fiarly new trucks in the past couple of years and none have come back.

Ive been driving a stick for 35 years - definately not my driving. My tech services all my vehicles including my 350z (which he did all the aftermarket mods on) and knows my driving is fine.

I have a great relationship with my tech and the dealership. Been using them for years and years. I have purchased my last 6 vehicles from them. They always have done the right thing so no complaints from me.
