I need your help TacomaWorld, I love my truck and I am considering beating the balls off of my most recent mechanic. I will make this as short as I can.

I never have problems with my truck, that's why I love it.

I took my taco to a new shop in town for a freon recharge. Everything seems to be in order until the next morning.

When I took the dog out for his morning shit I noticed a beeping coming from the taco and it was a beep not a ding. so I got cleaned up and went directly to the garage down the street, and he bled my freon a bit but when I confronted him he said he didn't do anything but the air.

I noticed a loose panel next to my left foot and I don't remember removing that panel to run my speaker wire 3 years ago. That is where the sound was coming from.

I think freon is the stuff that makes the AC cold.

Does it stay on forever until your battery dies?

    Check Build Thread!!
First off, freon is a refridgerant, which in a round about way makes the cold in your vehicle, it doesn't really. (I've worked and still work with lots of refrigeration industrial plants.)

If all your accessories are still working without keys in your vehicle, it means your mechanic spliced into a power wire somewhere???

ooooohhh. . . hmm, that is tricky. never heard of that. might be a fuse or something, but that really wouldn't explain why it's still pulling current. . . .

I believe all of your electronics, except for the ones under the accesories fuse (radio, cig lighter, etc.) stay on until you open your door, that's why you can roll your windows up even after you pull the keys out.

Have you pulled the panel off and see if there is any "out of the ordinary" wiring done??. Sounds like he spliced into something... everything that was controlled by the ignition is now on a hot lead directly to the battery?
