Well that doesn't seem right at all. Just way too many issues with these seatbelt alarms it seems like. People should know when they need to buckle up without a never-ending beeping.

Tried this yesterday and got the plastic cover off but couldn't figure out how to disconnect the wires without breaking anything (assuming I was looking at the right thing). I guess I'm just going to try to get the dealership to do it when I get my oil changed and tires rotated next week. We'll see what they say.

Did the procedure at work yesterday, drove it home with no issues, drove it around after work with no issues, drove it to work this morning with no issues. Seems this procedure has put it just like it was on the 05 where there was no beeping from seatbelts. Only the small light flashes on the gauge cluster now if I am not buckled up-no beeping at all....unless truck is off and key is in ignition with driver door open. That still works.

I love those new gauge faces. I suppose there is some little box under the dash that does the actual beeping. If you can find it then you could unplug it but then it wouldn't beep if you try to get out of truck with key still in ignition. Tradeoffs I guess. I unplugged that thing on my 1982 hi-lux because it drove me crazy after swapping out the removable hardtop convertible cab for an uncut one I didn't have door pin switches. Maybe the 2011s have the same type little rectangle box that does the beeping.

@ GatorComa: I did not disconnect or cut anything either. I wanted it to be easily undone. You can tell by the contraption that when the seat belt is inserted, it pushes the white plastic piece down. I just took 2 pieces of electrical tape and taped down that white plastic piece. The plug will not fit back into the buckle after this, so I just tucked it down beside the seat out-of-site.

would'nt that be the same as unplugging the connector under the seat?

The OP's directions worked (after 2 or 3 tries) for my 2011 with the old black gauges. Just follow them precisely.

OK, I have a 2011 that does NOT have the new gauges.
I have tried all this serveral times, and while it indicates its doing it, it still beeps.
sooo, today I ripped into the seatbelt latch.
Good news is,,, no more beep, bad news? I hope I dont need any of this stuff cuz I am pretty sure I broke it... :-/

The long skinny piece, is what seems to be causing the beeping, when that circuit is NOT connected, the beeping stops. Which is fine,
But what in the world is that other peice of circuitry? It seems to be a hall effect sensor, since there is a small magnet in a flexable white plastic piece that I ripped out of the seatbelt latch.
Anyone know what this does? Or what it will effect?
I am happy the beeping has stopped, but I dont want it to do something stupid like disabling my airbag.
I see no lights, etc, on the dash indicating a problem.

    Real quick, clarify "still beeps"
do you mean still beeps five times at start up OR still beeps when speed exceeds 10mph!?

Cuz if its not the latter that would be uncool

Ive not driven it yet, only sat in the truck and started it, no beeps.
Mine would beep 5 times when I first started the truck up if the seatbelt was not latched.
I ALWAYS drive with my seatbelt on, but I prefer to get in and start the truck before I have my seatbelt latched, and I am SICK of hearing it beep 5 times EVERY time I start the truck up.
I will let you know tomorrow if it beeps once moving when I goto drive to work.
Not that it will be an issue for my use, as I latch it before moving normally.

Okay well not that it matters much now that you've taken apart your buckle but so you know, when this mod WORKS you still get the five chimes at start up, it only eliminates beeping when driving so perhaps your method WAS the one for you since you wanted the initial 5 off. Hope this helps someone else i guess

Just got it to work. Finally peace and quiet!! :D turns out I was looking at the wrong thing before. Instead of taking the whole unit off the bottom of the buckle, I had taken off just the cover. But finally figured it out. Thanks a lot for your help!

Tested mine out today, NO beeps at all, not even once moving over 10 mph.
Still, I would like to know what that second piece is in my photo, and if its an issue having it not hooked up.
I dont understand why there seems to be two sensors/switched in there to tell if the seatbelt is latched.
