Did you wipe it out yet? Didn't you post something on live asking for help when you found that fluid line?

I am only on my second tank of gas and on the first i wasn't able to reset the trip odometer (tr4 had 1/4 tank of gas when we got it). How accurate has your mpg display been? I try to drive with a light foot and i always use shell gas.

I think for an off road suv thies tr4's do great! My wife used to drive a xterra and that thing loved gas. Can you say 16mpg! After that we got a honda pilot and it did great on gas (22mpg) but it rides like a mini van and don't even think about 4wheelin a pilot.

That sucks. You would hope they would use high quality fitting so that kind of system would not leak. I doubt those shocks have anything to support them if that fluid leaks

I wish i had a 4runner. They are just overall BETTER vehicles all around then the tacoma. that torsen dif and shorter wheelbase (my parents 4runner has almost a 1' shorter wheelbase then my AC) and the available v8 are what really have me jealous. But I needed a truck:/

It still doesnt make sense to me that they offer the v8 in the 4r but not the taco. Most people buy the truck to haul and tow so you would think they would give the truck more or at least the same available power as the SUV

I would agree with the former poster. I definitely think the 4Runners are better. I can't help but think the Made in Japan status helps them out.

My parentals have a 04 SE. I've driven both it and my truck extensively on and off road and if I didn't need a 7' bed for work I would have traded my truck in years ago.

02+ 6 speed SE 4runner is my dream car....unless I am one day offered the taco they built for SEMA that thing was SICK!
