Am I the only one getting sick of solicitations for money?

Coming from everywhere; I walk into the grocery story and someone is standing there trying to sell my something (that isn't a grocery). The new thing at the register is, "would you like to round up and donate your change to xxx charity?" I walk out of the store, someone has a donation box.

Each of the parking lot exits is covered by a pan handler.

Anytime I buy something that cost more than $10 at a general merchandise store the cashier will try selling me an extended warranty or other type of maintenance package.

Tip jars everywhere, why the F@*k am I going to give you a tip when I'm standing in line ordering my food/drink and waiting there until it's ready? WTF did you do to earn the tip?

I'm watering my lawn, kid walks up trying to sell me newspapers so he can go to college.

I'm at work, donate for this person or this persons kid or buy this from my kid.

On line, banners here and there, "text xxxxx to donate $10", see the same commercials on TV.

No, I don't want to give you my money, quit asking!!!!!

    Maybe I'm just an A-hole (doubtful I know)

100% agree. What I hate most are tip jars at places like 7-11 or FatBurger.

I agree 100000000%. I hate on weekends when they sit at redlights and stalk you.every weekend it's another group wanting my change. The best is when I have police departments calling wanting to donate so they can buy Kevlar vests. I don't know about you guys but I have to buy my own tools for the job I was hired for.not sure why they think it's ok to keep calling me over and over again. Rant over. Please let's not make this a cop bashing thread.
On a side note I think it's total dick move that I have to pay a $1 to use an air pump.WTF???

I was just in a meeting earlier this week for my company where they shared the results of the $$$ raised by having it on the pinpad- it would BLOW YOUR MIND. Luckily, all of that at my company goes for a ridiculous good cause.

    Haha...not doing it...can't make me!
Your not an asshole OP, COME TO OAKLAND,CA! This place is creeping with skeezy people with a new scam every week. I got so tired of it, I just started talking with the people to piss them off. The fucked up part is that it is a part of the American Culture, you would never ever see this in Japan or some other countries.

And most donations sadly are a scam.
