    2006 Tacoma, SR5 Access Cab, 5 speed trans, 4 cyl, 116,000 miles.

    Price? $9,900.

I've been Craigslisting like a fool (yeah, I made up that word) and I admit, I know more about Pickups (Hilux) and 1st Gens than I do these tanks you guys call 2nd Gens. :D But that price struck me as awful low... Meaning, somethings GOTTA be wrong with it, right? I think all the other 05 and 06s I've been seeing have been around 12-13,000 in that shape.

    What say you guys?

    Pics in next post.

    12,900.

I'm telling you, every freakin' vehicle I've asked you guys about (and the guys at that OTHER Toyota forum) I've heard, "Damn that's high."

I dunno what's driving it up. SE GA here.

Come here. I give you my fully loaded 2006 DC 4WD TRD OR 2" lift wheels etc, 57K miles for $18K. Now that would be a deal I think with less than half the miles and being the real thing, LOL.

    Sigh... I'm just so torn.

I've been looking at Tacos for about 2 years, got more serious in the last few months. I am so wishy-washy though... And the problem is, there are virtually none nearby for me to test.

I know all about the legendary 22re, the overall longevity of Toyota in general. (My two current vehicles are a 07 4Runner and an 03 Corolla. Never a HICCUP between the two.)

But it's time for a truck, I need to haul a small trailer, plus you can't imagine the jokes you get by showing up in deer camp in a freakin' Corolla.

Is that price retail excellent condition? If you read KBB closely, retail excellent includes complete service records. Also, with that mileage it's going to be harder to sell, so the dealer can expect less.

That price sounds about right to me. I paid 17,500 for mine with 40K on it. It was barely 4 years old at the time.

Maybe this dealer is ready to sell and the other dealers are not?

Go drive it. If it has no funny noises, etc, then it's probably a good deal.

It is somewhat insane what people pay for used Toyotas.
    I was joking.
