EDIT: It's only sold in 20 states - mostly southern. :sorry: You are missing out. It is better than Breyers or Hagen Daz.

I just drove thru Canada...I have a few questions:

Why does the Canadian border guard greet people coming from America in French?

Why do most Canadians in Whitehorse have large foreheads and poofy curly red hair?

Why can I get a burger a DAIRY Queen?

Why do Canadians completely disregard the speed limit?

Is the RCMP the only police force Canada has? Other then very very large towns? If so, how big is the RCMP, I saw maybe 4 over a span of 2300 miles of road.

What happened on the Cassiar Hwy in BC? Did it burn recently?

What is with international gas station chains not excepting my American Visa as a credit card?

The RCMP is a nation wide police force correct? I understand Vancouver has its own police but it seemed that all the other towns had nothing...the larger ones had an RCMP office and that was it. Is that standard across Canada or just in the rural parts?

I was just at DQ here in CO and all I can get are ice cream treats and smoothies...maybe a hot dog. BTW, DQ burger was awesome!

rcmp is everywhere. in small towns they handle everything and in the big cities they handle the major crimes and nation wide crimes. our dq is just better i guess.

I was concerned because I only saw one RCMP guy in action over 2300 miles of Canadian Hwy, but then I get to the US and they are everywhere, Staties, County guys and City all together.

Do Canadians feel they have enough law enforcement in the country?

Maybe its just because there are so many miles of highway out in the middle of nowhere, that they rarely venture out there. Our highway patrol takes that, county takes unincorporated area's within the county and city of course takes the city. FBI does federal and it goes down the chain from there, ATF, ICE, Marshals, USSS, IRS, etc.

Thanks for the answers! I'm off to bed....peace out Canadian friends!

Have any of you Canadians seen the show The Drunk and On drugs Happy Fun Time Hour? I watched Trailer Park Boys and am dying to watch their new show. Just wanted to know if it is as good as TP Boys. Its only aired in Canada so i have no idea if its any good.

BC was....100% better then the Yukon. Especially south of Dease Lake on the Cassiar. Following the Fraser River down between Cache Creek and Hope was a fantastic trip.

CSIS (Canadian Sercurity Intelligence Service) is the the Canadian equivalent to the FBI. Bigger cities have city cops, everywhere else it's the RCMP.

My trip took me from Homer, AK to the Yukon border through the Yukon down through BC back into the states. 2300 miles worth of travel....sucked.

It was light all night in the Yukon, I drove for 24 hours....not a good idea but I just didn't get tired cuz it was light!

BC to Washington. Came back to the US via Sumas, outside of Abbotsford, BC. I have family in WA, OR and Idaho so, I figured what the hell...take the long way and see the family.

I kinda figured RCMP was a nation wide thing, here like I said they leave the states to their own statewide LE and then county to city etc. I just really didn't see anything in the larger towns like Whitehorse or Prince George, not even local. Do they have provincial police like out state police or is it RCMP across the board?

rcmp is nation wide. ontario has provincial police but they are the only province to have provincial police.
