I agree. But I his dad doesnt offroad so mud tire would be out of the question.

lol I hear that. I have had them in sugar sand anf mud and they fair well. By no means an aggresive tire but its what I have now so they get used.

    X2

I had these for awhile- expensive, but tread wear is great. Had them for about 2 years and they still have a good 85-90% tread left on them. No road noise at all, and they're okay for moderate offroading.

    x7 if I'm counting right.

They carry a 70k mile warranty and are the quietest things you'll find, hands down.

Not that he will care, but they won't give you a chance in hell for offroad.

So now the questions are which model to get:

Out of these four, which one is quietest and has best gas mileage?

    X Radial LT2

    Latitude Tour

    LTX M/S2

    LTX A/T2

Where you suggest to get them for the best price?

LTX MS 2. As a rule of thumb, go with whatever has the highest tread life warranty; this more or less translates to less noise as well because the pattern is going to be streamlined for road use.

for where to buy, you can try costco or discount tire/america's tire

And if he is wanting a quite cab you might tell him to Dynamat the interior or some similar material. Even with quite tires there are wind noises and other highway noise that can be reduced quite a bit by doing this.
