Im moving to VA next year up in the mountains by myself. EVERYONE has some type of gun at their home / in truck. Im 19 so i cant buy a handgun, but i think a shotgun would be fitting. Maybe a 12g of some sort? Any suggestions?

remington 870 is probably the best all-around shotgun. we use it at work, i use it at home, everyone uses it to hunt...etc. if you want to be super cool, you could swap out the barrel with a shorter one so it's easier to maneuver in your home.

I agree with REM 870 or MOSS 500....if you could spend a small fortune the BENELLI M4 would be SWEEEEEEET!!!

Remmy 870 is a great solid shotgun, tested and reliable. Mossberg 500/590 also tested and reliable. For a Semi-auto, I have a Benelli M1 and a M3.

Remington 870 is a classic, everyone has it, and they're great.

That Mossberg 930 is also very..very nice, so I hear. Nearly identical to the FNH Auto, but half the price.

I chose to be different, I have an FNH TPS, amongst many others for home defense. I like the sites and it points nicely, but it was expensive.

Ha! we had those as breacher guns when I was in the Navy. Good little platforms except the 3 round capacity, but you can get a mag extension and get around that.
