anybody buy an aftermarket sport hood so they could have the scoop? i was curious on the quality. i found one from thepartsbin.com for a little over $100 but then i need the insert and to get it painted. i just dont want to buy a poor quality hood that doesnt match quite right. it says its CAPA Certified, OE Replacement.

To add to op post how hard would it be to also paint one of these by yourself n not take it to a shop

i was looking at the same hood and i was concerned about fitment issues any thing else would not bother me as i'm spraying the truck in line-xtra any way in the fall.

i also tried looking around for the insert with not alot of success either although i didn't really research it all out i'm sure i could find one. the hood scoop looks great on the regular cabs it would finish the front of the truck nicely:cool:

Don't get the sport hood. There are plenty of people around here willing to get rid of theres probably in a straight over trade. The glare off the damn things is ridiculous.

Funny, I really like the way it looks, however with it not being functional, I would rather spend my $ on other mods.
