So did you actually buy this truck used from a dealer or from an idividual?

Ya know, you may end up with the best of both worlds. If you really wanted the long bed and the off-road package isn't offered with it, now you'll effectively have one. You'll be a one-of-a-kind.

Wonderful.... What's this in the whole alliance am I the only one with both 4wd and experience with 4wheelin'? Looks like I better bring some extra recovery straps. Atleast that means I won't have to be buying any beer. :)

I have my own tow strap so you dont have to worry about taht. I'm sure i'll need some help during hte ride. these stock tires dont grip at all and combine that with my inexperience and i'm screwed

I'll bring a set of FRS radios with me and I'll talk you through the tough spots. Yes the stock tires on the off road trucks are not great, but atleast they are not dunflops like on the sports. I had the same tires in the same size on my 04 taco, (blackwall instead of raised white letter) and believe it or not, if you air them down a bit and go easy on the throttle in the slick sh!t, they are not completely horrible. I'll teach you to wheel ND, don't worry about it.

Like the Native American proverb says. Wisdom comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement.

It's from a dealership, when I was looking at it the salesman was telling me all about the upgrades that come with the offroad package. I just got an email back from them asking me to send them pictures of the decals specifically and if I contacted legal council yet.

I would say you are looking for lawyers now. Try to scare 'em a little bit. They royally screwed up, they need to pay for it

Hey...I've only ever owned 4x4 and know what I'm doing too...I also have a good tow strap and a grandfather that has a habit of getting everything with wheels at our farm stuck...so, lots of experience pulling people out...

Definitely tell them you're talking to a lawyer "about your options"...use those exact words...sounds more official...but then say you haven't actually put him/her (her always sounds better because people think that women lawyers are bigger ballbusters than men) on retainer yet, and what have they got for you...should work well.
