    You need slider to jack from also a different bumper like all pro, ARB or shrockworks.

    you jack it and put the truck on a jack stand or block, change tire and then lift and take jack stand out.

    It's pain to do it but I never lift a truck or anything else without a jackstand or block to rest the truck on, I just don't trust any jack, especially a hi-lift (AKA widow maker)

    The whole reason i this came up was i rotated my tires today and i almost maxed out my 3ton floor jack and my jack stands needed to get blocked up. Then i thought if i had to change a tire this on the highway or offroad i would be screwed. So i figured i would get the right info here:) I plan on getting sliders but not sure when.

    modified for light trail use
    I carry jackstands for this very reason. Added weight in the bed (toolbox), but I've had them when they were needed. I won't get under anything held up on a hi-lift, but life w/o one on the trail is tough. It may be more trouble to sit a vehicle down on stands, but it's worth the trouble if it keeps you safe.
