I'm getting burned out on the truck. It makes an annoying knocking noise from the rear when driving down the road (almost sounds like a bolt in a tire but its not), it leaks oil out of the rear mail seal and valve cover, keeps getting a CEL for code P0420 which im pretty sure my cats are bad since I'm getting 16mpg!!!! Ball joints are making poping noises around corners, I wanna lift it but I dont see it happening and its expensive to do so. IDK what to do I'm about ready to return it all to stock and drive it till it blows up cause im at a wall with it. Any helpful imput is gladly appreciated.

Only problem is it was my grandfathers truck and he gave me it in his will. So I can't personally sell it, it has sentimental value.

Look for parts on a low mileage wreck in a junkyard. May save you some money for the short term over buying new parts.

Or park it & save it for sentimental purposes & buy another Tacoma.

IDK I may just fix the cat problem and change up the front a lil. I like the truck but I wish it was taller.
